Friend or Lover?

Recently my good friend had a guy problem. She and a guy had hung out a lot, gone hiking, on camping trips, etc. He paid for meals and said things like “when we get married……” and so on. Sounds like a match right? Wrong. Other than hugs and the occasional movie snuggle, he never made a move on her. He acted like a friend that just paid for stuff.
